Description: We've put this bundle together to showcase one of the UK's best and favourite brewers. Samuel Smith's brew out of the oldest brewery in Yorkshire, situated in Tadcaster it's been turning beer out since 1758 and they still love to do things the traditional way. From using Yorkshire squares to ferment their ales and stouts, continuing to use the same yeast strain dating all the way back to the 1800's while they still even deliver their beer around Tadcaster on shire-horse drawn carts. Come and delve into a proper, British tradition.

This bundle includes:

Imperial Stout: This distinctive type of beer was originally brewed to withstand the abuses of shipping in foul weather to Imperial Russia. It was a favourite of Russian nobility whose taste for the finest food and drink was world famous. A rich flavourful brew; deep chocolate in colour with a roasted barley nose and flavour that is a complexity of malt, hops, alcohol and yeast. Fermented in ‘stone Yorkshire squares’.  Vegan Friendly

Taddy Porter:  Very dark, fairly full in body and packed with flavour. Intense, dry tangy character of roasted barley.  Vegan Friendly

Organic Chocolate Stout:   Brewed with well water (the original well, sunk in 1758, is still in use with the hard well water being drawn from 85 feet underground), the gently roasted organic cocoa extract impart a delicious, smooth and creamy character, with inviting deep flavours and a delightful finish - this is a marriage of satisfying stout and luxurious chocolate.  Vegan Friendly

Pale Ale:   Brewed with well water (the original well at the Old Brewery, sunk in 1758, is still in use, with the hard well water being drawn from 85 feet underground); best barley malt, yeast and aromatic hops; fermented in ‘stone Yorkshire squares’ to create a full, rounded flavour and after-taste.  Vegan Friendly

India Ale:   Brewed with well water (the original well at the Old Brewery, sunk in 1758, is still in use, with the hard well water being drawn from 85 feet underground); best malted barley and a generous amount of choicest aroma hops; fermented in 'stone Yorkshire squares' to create an exceptionally full-flavoured complex ale with an abundance of maltiness and fruity hop character.  Vegan Friendly

Yorkshire Stingo: Some of the oak casks at Samuel Smith’s date back more than a century with the individual oak staves being replaced by the Old Brewery coopers over the years. Gradually the casks soak in more & more of the character of the ale fermented in stone Yorkshire squares. Yorkshire Stingo is aged for at least a year, matured in these well-used oak casks in the brewery’s underground cellars deriving fruit, raisin, treacle toffee, Christmas pudding and slight oaky flavours, before being further naturally conditioned in bottle.

Nut Brown Ale:   Brewed with well water (the original well at the Old Brewery, sunk in 1758, is still in use, with the hard well water being drawn from 85 feet underground); best barley malt, yeast and aromatic hops; fermented in ‘stone Yorkshire squares’ to create a relatively dry ale with rich nutty colour and palate of beech nuts, almonds and walnuts. Vegan Friendly

Oatmeal Stout: Oats are in the same family as barley, and a small addition yields great flavour. Popular in the late 1800s, the last oatmeal stout was brewed before the First World War until Samuel Smith reintroduced this style in 1980. Almost opaque, with an unusually silky texture and complex, medium-dry velvet palate. Bittersweet finish.
