Anchoa are smaller anchovies that are stored in salt for up to 12 months, in barrels before deboning, by hand, and packed in tins with good quality Olive Oil
Anchovies are caught in the Spring season only, when large shoals come into the Bay of Biscay. Small boats with nets are used to catch the anchovies, in a traditional, sustainable method.
Yurrita was established in 1867 and is now owned by the 5th generation. Yurrita uses the finest fish, caught by traditional, sustainable methods from the Bay of Biscay.
