Sextant - Ecume 2023 - Pet Nat - 750ml Bottle

Description: Ecume 2023 is a natural wine crafted by Sextant, in the Burgundy region in France. This sparkling wine is made with  50% Pinot Noir and 50% Aligoté  grapes, where the Aligoté is sourced from Domaine du Moulin de Foulot (Fanny and Damien Gressard) in Saint-Gengoux Le National of the Côte Chalonnaise, whilst the Gamay comes from Bérangère and Antoine Miguel which is a slow-ripening plot on granite soil.

Features bright notes of Yuzu, yellow pears and vanilla essence. With softer bubbles than expect, this drinks more similar to an elegant Cremant than a pet nat. Acidity is not too high either, yet enough to keep it lively. Quite different, quite fun and unusual to see both a cork AND a bottle cap!
