Description: Zundert 4 Refterbier is a light beer, with only 4% alcohol. Of course, it's a true Zundert Trappist, so the spicy element is certainly there. For this beer, we've used rye as a brewing grain. Rye was once widely grown in the area around the abbey, also for brewing beer. It provides a spicy note. In addition, a characteristic herb from the area has been added, as with all Zundert Trappist beers. Although the beer is light, it certainly has character. The name refers to the monastery's dining room, which is called the "refter."
